TRI CITY SAMS JULY 18, 2015
The July meeting, held at Pine Hollow, Pownal, Vt. was called to order by President Connie at 3:40 PM with the Pledge to the Flag. Prayer was given by Ev.
Present: Carol, Chuck, Connie, Darlene, Elaine, Ev, Fran, George, Janet, Rich and Wendy. We had a total of seven units this weekend.
The minutes of the June 2015 meeting were read and one change was made (date for Normandy), accepted by motion from Janet and Ev.
Treasurer’s report showed a beginning balance of $000.00; receipts of $000.00, disbursements of $000.00 for a balance of $0000.00. There is a total of $000.00 for future reservations of which $000.00 will be reimbursed to Doris and Gil due to their resignation from the Club. Ending balance is $000.00. The treasurer will provide a written report at a later date. Weebly website was renewed for five years. $000.00 deposit will be made for Nickerson. Darlene motioned to place the report on file for audit.
Correspondence ~ Connie stated she got an email from a member who does not want to continue membership and requested their money back in refund of $120. Pine Hollow will reimburse them their deposit directly.
* Chaplain / Sunshine – sympathy card was sent to Doris and Gil due to passing of an in-law. Thinking of you card to Angela.
* Sickness/Distress – no report.
* Samboree – Chuck spoke of the table top grill we purchased for $96.09. We made $000.00 with a profit of $000.00 to send to charity. The charity we selected this year was Operation Injured Soldiers (OIS) was by motion from Connie and seconded by Janet, carried. We will talk with OIS about other items we can do for them. A representative is needed for the Fall Fest to represent us at Herkimer. Decision to be made by next meeting. Mary Ann, Director, suggested for next year we only have raffles and give-aways – no theme tables. Connie circulated a form she made for next year of who will do what and when schedule for members to sign-up for – items were coffee pot, servers, runners, cleaners, etc.
* Historian –no report.
* Schedule – Some members would like to see Nickerson in July next year. Ev asked can we break it up a little so there is a break between weekends.
Discussion was held again on the 45 days prior to a campout. President Connie motioned to get a block of sites at each campout, and the members would call the campground and send their deposit directly to them. We would then notify the treasurer we made our reservations and a list can be sent out to those attending for covered dishes attendees. This motion was seconded by George. This will start in 2016.
The group asked that we move Pine Hollow to the follow week in July for 2016. Please send your emails to George only, not Elaine. Chuck made a trip to savage with pull tabs and a check was cut by savage people for $36 to the Shiners’ Hospital.
50/50 – $7 won by Ev.
Reminder we need to check our Good Sam membership is up-to-date, please check your renewal dates so we can up-date our master list and give the info to Chuck.
